The Grand Canyon

No words can begin to describe just how amazing the Grand Canyon really is. One guide told us that because most of us have never seen anything like it before, it makes our brains think that it can't be real. Definitely a place everyone should try to visit in their lifetimes. We weren't expecting there would be as much snow out there as what there was, so we had to quickly figure out walking and driving in the snow!

It was 10 miles across to the North Rim (the other side!)

Michael came across this elk
Tilly & I rugged up!

The colours of the canyon changed dramatically during the day

Us at the Desert View lookout. You can see the Colorado River down to the left
Some Mule Deer (grazing?) in the snow
Michael and Tilly out the front of our lodge in a snow shower
Here you can see the trail leading down into the canyon
Some people riding the mules down the trail
Can we take this snow home with us? I love it!
walking along the Rim Trail - Michael loved the crunching noise in the snow, that's why he didn't comentate!
