We are home again from our 2 weeks in Tassie. We travelled overnight on the Spirit of Tasmania, which made it very easy to just load up our car and drive on, sleep overnight, drive off next morning, without too much fuss!
We spent a few days in the Cradle Mountain Nat'l Park - hiking and looking around, then over to Strahan where we went on a Gordon River cruise. Next it was down to Hobart for a few days - to go to Salamanca Markets and of course a visit to Peter Cundall's Vegie Patch at the Botanic Gardens!
Then it was up to Coles Bay where we hiked to Wineglass Bay in the Freycinet Nat'l Park. Then our final few days were in the Launceston area where we went to Cataract Gorge, Evercreech Forest (where the world's tallest gum trees are - 95 metres high!!) We went to a zoo, saw some seahorses, platypus and echidna's and Tilly was able to pat a Tasmanian Devil! All this was finished off with a round of mini golf, which Tilly loved!!
Then back to Devonport, onto the Spirit again for our journey home!
