Kona Coast and Kailua-Kona

Looking across Kealakekua Bay to the monument marking the spot where Capt. Cook was killed in 1779 by the Hawaiians. Only access is by boat/kayak to the monument.

Hulihe'e Palace in Kailua-Kona was a vacation spot for the Hawaiian Royals. It was damaged in the earthquake in late 2006.

Mokuaikaua Church across from the Palace in Kailua-Kona. Built in 1820 it was the 1st Christian church in the Hawaiian islands.

Sunset from our hotel in Kailua-Kona.

Tilly up to her usual antics with the assistance of Daddy!
